WHAT IF YOUR MEMORIES WEREN'T YOUR OWN?
OUR STORY
OUR STORY
We are creating a film that gives the first person POV of Dissociative Identity Disorder. Many displays of DID (and other mental disorders) in media have been used to give depth or explain the villain. With this, many disorders have been given an unfair connotation with "evil, possession, villains, or malicious intent."
Our film explores the origination of DID and the roles of Alters inside the body.
Genevieve starts to see concerning flashes of memories she was not a part of creating. From here, Genevieve starts to worry that Stevie, her alter, may be more dangerous that she anticipated. As we watch Genevieve spiral into hallucinations, we also realize she is being brought closer to the revelation of her trauma. Who are the real villains in the stories of these disorders?
